Vala Setareh is the founder of Schiller Legal and a dual-qualified lawyer in both civil and common law jurisdictions,
admitted in Germany and Australia. With two decades of experience advising high-growth companies across
markets, Vala brings sharp legal insight and commercial clarity to founders, investors and executives navigating
complex challenges.

Before launching Schiller Legal, Vala worked at mid-tier and top-tier firms including King & Wood Mallesons, where
he advised on corporate, commercial, acquisition and finance matters for transactions ranging from two hundred
thousand dollars to over 1.2 billion dollars.

He has guided clients through capital raising, acquisitions, IP and licensing, privacy compliance, employment
structuring, shareholder disputes, and strategic partnerships.
As a co-founder of two startups, Vala understands first-hand the founder journey and delivers legal strategy with
business priorities.

He has served as an advisor to the NSW Startup Hub, regularly mentors ventures of the LX Health healthtech
accelerator, and supports founders and companies operating in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Vala helps Australian companies break into the US market (a market of over 300 million people) and opens doors
into the Silicon Valley ecosystem to raise money in the US.
