Dr. Philip Ireland
Dr Phil Ireland is Chief Executive Officer of Carbon Neutral, bringing extensive experience in organisational leadership, climate strategy and policy. He has led global initiatives across government, research, communications and climate change, combining scientific expertise with commercial and strategic leadership to guide Carbon Neutral through a rapidly evolving climate sector.
Before joining Carbon Neutral, Phil was CEO of climate technology start-up Hone Carbon and previously led Oxfam's climate and energy advocacy at the United Nations climate change negotiations.
Phil holds a doctorate in climate change adaptation and has received multiple awards recognising his contribution to climate policy and research, including a prestigious Marie Curie scholarship to the European Union and the University of Newcastle's Science Faculty Medal. His diverse background in climate science, governance and stakeholder engagement positions him to lead Carbon Neutral in delivering practical climate solutions for businesses and the environment.
