THE STATE OF THE AUSTRALIAN WORKFORCE

Across Australia, organisations are struggling with low morale, disengagement, and the escalating cost of staff turnover. National data shows 77% of employees identify as not engaged or actively disengaged at work.

Research also tells us that people don’t leave jobs—they leave people. They leave poor leadership, ineffective management, and workplace cultures that fail to support and value them. When they do, the cost to organisations in lost expertise, recruitment, and productivity is enormous.

Together, these trends represent a serious organisational risk. For most organisations, this is simply not sustainable and threatens both productivity and long-term stability and growth.

Regardless of industry or job type, decades of research demonstrate, consistently and unequivocally, that employee engagement is one of the most powerful drivers of organisational performance and workplace culture. For organisations that want to remain competitive, employee engagement must become a strategic priority.

THE SINGLE MOST IMPACTFUL SOLUTION?

Prepare Your Leaders

Leadership plays a critical role in shaping the employee experience. Research shows that managers account for 70% of the difference in team engagement, yet most receive little or no formal leadership training until they have been leading for 10 years.

HOW ENVICTO COACHING CAN HELP

Envicto Coaching specialises in leadership and organisational development that helps organisations create engaged, high-performing workplaces.

We work with executives, leaders, and teams to strengthen leadership capability, improve workplace culture, and design organisational environments where people can perform at their best. Our work focuses on the systems, behaviours, and leadership practices that shape employee motivation, engagement, and performance.

Through a powerful combination of education and coaching, we equip leaders with the knowledge, skills and practical tools needed to lead people effectively, build cohesive teams, and support positive workplace cultures.

Every aspect of Envicto’s work is underpinned by research and informed by evidence. By applying this evidence-based approach, we help organisations move beyond short-term solutions and develop leadership practices that support sustainable performance over the long term.
