Most corporate lawyers have one vantage point. I have three.

I spent nearly 30 years as a lawyer and then corporate partner at firms including Baker McKenzie (Sydney and Hong Kong), Atansakovic Hartnell, Holding Redlich, Hall & Wilcox, and Allion Legal — advising on M&A, capital raises, debt, governance, and complex commercial matters across Australia, Asia, and internationally. My indepth experience included the technology, resources (gas, oil, mineraals) and governance sectors.

Then I spent 8 years inside a world-leading cybersecurity company as General Counsel, Director, and Company Secretary. I sat on the board. I advised the CEO. I built the governance frameworks, managed the cap table, negotiated the commercial agreements and navigated every stage of a deep-tech startup's lifecycle — from early-stage R&D through to a globally patented technology platform.

Then I did it again: Director, Company Secretary and GC at Electrogenics Laboratories, a radiation therapy medical devices startup.

That's the three dimensions of 3D Corporate Law:

I — Outside counsel depth. Baker McKenzie trained. 29 years as a partner or principal. Asialaw Leading Lawyers 2016, 2017, and 2018. I've advised on the full spectrum of corporate transactions — from ASX listings and capital raisings to cross-border M&A, infrastructure projects, and complex multi-party commercial matters.

II — Inside counsel perspective. 8 years as GC, Director, and Company Secretary of VeroGuard Systems — a world-leading cybersecurity company founded by the inventors of mobile EFTPOS and the world's first ATM machines. I know what it looks like from inside the boardroom, not just from outside it.

III — Founder commercial reality. I've been embedded with founding R&D teams building something genuinely new. I understand the pace, the pressure, and the decisions that founders face — because I've been part of making them.

I founded 3D Corporate Law as a deliberate choice: to offer senior, partner-level corporate counsel as a sole practitioner — which means every client gets my full attention, every time. No associates learning on your file. No partner who hands work off and disappears.
