CRMG - War gaming and disruption planning

For small to medium size businesses, it’s a case of when and not if they’ll be subject to a cyber attack. That’s why it’s important to know the cyber protections and processes in place work, and that employees know what to do in the event an attack gets through.

War gaming and disruption planning let you do just that. They allow businesses to test their ability to maintain operations in the event of a successful attack, which ultimately is the key to limiting its impact and minimising the damage caused to the organisation.

War gaming and disruption planning are carried out over three stages. First, we review the existing business disruption arrangements before undertaking the war game exercise. We then assess the outcomes and refine arrangements where needed.

The war game exercise itself takes place over several hours with management and staff asked to react to different phases of a simulated cyber attack which has been customised to your business.

This allows you to understand the extent to which a cyber event could disrupt your business, engage and educate management and staff and implement effective business disruption arrangements based on the outcome of the exercise.

In short, war gaming and disruption planning is the only way to ensure it’s business as usual in the event of an attack.
