We support 900+ local businesses of all sizes, and our business community is well nourished with 40 events per year covering both networking and professional development. We’re focused on helping our members build connections, upskill their team, and extend their learning.

Our cornerstone events are Business After Hours & Business After Five, where each month a member is invited to host a large-scale networking event at their place of business. A fantastic promotional opportunity for the host, with 70-90 attendees on average, it also provides our members a regular touchpoint with their fellow businesses. With many of our members being small businesses or sole traders, we understand how vital it is to maintain these connections and build a sense of community.

Some of our other regular events include Business Before Hours – bite-sized presentations to promote members and their latest updates, and Business Builders – educational workshops run by local experts in fields such as marketing, accounting, IT etc. We’ve also had the pleasure of hosting roundtable discussions with notable dignitaries such as the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley, and Opposition Treasurer Tim Wilson. Of course the ‘big ticket’ event on our annual calendar is the Albury Wodonga Business Awards, where we recognise the top businesses in our area and celebrate their achievements at a Gala evening.

In addition to Albury Business Connect events and promotions, we have also developed subcommittees to accommodate different audiences within our business community. AlburyCBD focuses on promoting our retailers within our vibrant city centre, while Business Women Albury Wodonga provides networking and development opportunities tailored to empowering women at all stages in their careers. Future Leaders Albury Wodonga is targeted towards younger people entering the workforce or building their career, and showcases Albury as a place where career growth, professional development and networking opportunities are abundant.
